Little buddies

It was back to work today and when I got there I found a list of stuff for me to do, or rather for me to clean.  I hate cleaning crap, but I did it anyway.  One of the things on my list was to change the filters in the shellfish tank.  That is the outside part that has the bins of clams, oysters, mussels that customers help themselves to.  I had to take the bins of shellfish out so I could change the filter below.   When I was changing the filter on the clam side I found some stowaways.

Cool, more little crabs!  I found three little guys in there, but only two were still alive.  They must've been inside the clams or beach oysters and whoever put them in the tank didn't bother to check them properly or they would've been discovered.

I took them out for safe keeping and later on I put them in the bottom coral bed of the crab tank.  Near the end of my shift I went to check up on them and give them a scrap piece of salmon for food and they were gone.  They must've crawled off somewhere.  I'll forget about them and then one day I'll have to change the filter in there and there will be like two big crabs jumping out at me.

They were surprisingly feisty and oh so adorable.  For such a little guy, he's got pretty big claws.

I think the little crabs may sadly end up like your tamagotchi.

Crab reset?

Keith you should've loaded up a cooler and driven them back to the coast.. You probably could've gotten a police escort and everything.
